A lawyer and engaged community member, people started coming to Ian to ask him to help to resolve and manage conflicts in his community when he served on his hometown's Town Council. Those initial mediations led to Ian finding what is his true calling in life, and he began to develop a mediation component of his law practice. Having mediated over 100 cases for families, businesses, and community organizations (in addition to receiving frequent referrals of cases from the Superior Court of New Jersey), Ian separated his mediation practice from his law practice in 2012 and founded the Accord Mediation Center, www.accordmediationcenter.com
. He continues to work with families and businesses/organizations facing conflict in New Jersey and New York. He lives in Maplewood, New Jersey with his wife and two sons.
